RubberGard EPDM
Since its introduction in 1980, Firestone RubberGard EPDM has dominated the single-ply roofing market through its proven performance, durability and flexibility over a wide range of building types. RubberGard EPDM has delivered more than two decades of commercial roofing success by building upon a heritage of innovation in rubber polymer technology.

RubberGard Platinum EPDM
Firestone RubberGard Platinum Roofing Systems deliver a 30-year warranty covering incidental punctures, high winds and hail up to two inches in diameter. RubberGard Platinum EPDM combines the strength of 90-mil RubberGard EPDM with Firestone HailGard composite insulation for outstanding thermal performance and puncture resistance.

Seamed with Firestone QuickSeam Tape, RubberGard Platinum EPDM offers watertight seams with increased strength.


RubberGard EcoWhite EPDM
Utilizing the same characteristics and benefits of Firestone’s established line of RubberGard EPDM membranes, RubberGard EcoWhite EPDM membrane offers a highly reflective EPDM solution to coated membranes and thermoplastics. The environmentally friendly white membrane provides building owners with the proven performance of traditional EPDM, while offering the ease of installation roofing contractors need.

Available in a .060” (1.52mm) thickness, RubberGard EcoWhite EPDM membrane is a bi-laminate, white-on-black cured membrane that can be used in conjunction with the comprehensive EcoWhite line of accessories for rapid, consistent and cost-effective fully adhered installations. It is available for UL- and FM-rated systems, exceeds ASTM D 4637 standards, and is eligible for a 15-year Firestone Red Shield Warranty.

RubberGard EcoWhite membrane’s initial solar reflectance is 0.80, when tested in accordance with the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) program. Also, based on recent CRRC testing, EcoWhite has a solar reflectance index (SRI) of 99, making it one of the industry’s most reflective white membranes. Plus, EcoWhite EPDM can help achieve points in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system, a voluntary national standard established by the U.S. Green Building Council.

EcoWhite Platinum EPDM

A premium product in the reflective EPDM product line, 90-mil EcoWhite Platinum EPDM reflects sunlight which keeps the membrane cool. Bringing together the eco-friendly attributes of a white membrane with the proven performance of traditional EPDM, this new roofing solution meets LEED certification requirements, exceeds ASTM D-4637 standards and is UL and FM approved.

EcoWhite Platinum EPDM is manufactured as 10-foot wide, no-fold, seamless panels which are easy to handle and quick to install. EPDM PT Membranes
These new membranes dramatically expand the enormously popular EcoWhite product line to include both 60-mil and the new 90-mil thicknesses. Additionally, we have added pre-taped panels to our standard black RubberGard Platinum EPDM product line.

In addition to the outstanding solar reflectivity and durability of EcoWhite membranes, pre-taping yields the following features and benefits:

  • Easier and faster installation which can significantly reduce labor costs
  • Factory installed seam tape yields higher quality seams
  • Seam tape is cut flush with membrane to yield a more aesthetic finished product

EcoWhite EPDM PT (60 mil) systems are eligible for a Red Shield Warranty up to 20 years. EcoWhite Platinum (90 mil) EPDM PT membranes, just like all Platinum EPDM membranes, qualify for a 30-year warranty, the best in the industry.


RubberGard R.M.A.
Suited for large and small roofs, the non-reinforced membrane of the Firestone RubberGard R.M.A. System provides uninterrupted weatherable thickness, while its large panels deliver faster installation. RubberGard R.M.A. uses large EPDM panels bonded to Firestone QuickSeam R.M.A. Strips. The mechanically attached system can provide up to 25 years of warranty protection with no additional maintenance or inspections required to maintain coverage.

The RubberGard R.M.A. System is a recyclable roofing option that also offers a low annualized cost, reduced VOC emissions, and complies with certain Factory Mutual and UL approval standards.

UltraBlend Roofing System
The UltraBlend Roofing System combines the strengths of UltraPly TPO and RubberGard EPDM in a comprehensive, warrantable roofing solution. Thermoplastic single-ply roofing membranes are among the fastest growing commercial roofing products and have gained broad industry acceptance for their many performance and installation advantages. As demand increases for heat-reflective and energy efficient roofing systems, thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) single-ply roofing membranes continue to provide exceptional resistance to ultraviolet, ozone and chemical exposure.

UltraPly TPO
Suitable for a variety of low slope commercial roofing applications, Firestone UltraPly TPO is a sustainable roofing solution for a wide range of building types.

UltraPly TPO also offers design options with membranes available in reflective white, tan or gray, which can help reduce a building’s cooling requirements. White and tan UltraPly TPO membranes meet the new version of the California Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Nonresidential Buildings (Title 24). These standards define cool roofs in California to have a minimum three-year aged reflectance of 0.55 and a minimum thermal emittance of 0.75 for low-sloped nonresidential buildings.

White and tan UltraPly TPO membranes are listed with the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC), and meet or exceed the new Title 24 requirements for low-slope roofing membranes. The listing for white and tan UltraPly TPO membranes can be found on the CRRC Web site.

ReflexEON TPO
Backed by more than 10 years of field and laboratory testing on actual rooftop installations, Firestone ReflexEON TPO is the first thermoplastic roofing membrane to greatly reduce the effects of microbial growth, and the subsequent staining and loss of reflectivity.

By reducing microbial growth commonly seen on white roofing systems, ReflexEON TPO remains cleaner and extends the membrane’s ability to reflect heat and improve a building’s energy efficiency. ReflexEON TPO is available as a 60-mil-thick membrane and is warranted for up to 20 years.

For a 30-year total system warranty, Firestone also offers the ReflexEON TPO Platinum Roofing System, which features an 80-mil-thick membrane mechanically attached or fully adhered to Firestone HailGard composite insulation for outstanding thermal performance and puncture resistance.

UltraPly TPO XR
Firestone UltraPly TPO XR combines the durability of a single-ply membrane with the heat welding properties of thermoplastic in an adhered application. Installation flexibility enables the roofing system to be installed with either hot asphalt or Firestone UltraPly TPO XR Bonding Adhesive.

[Firestone UltraPly TPO XR]
With an external backing of eight-ounce, non-woven polyester, Firestone UltraPly TPO XR offers an additional internal and external reinforcement for remarkable puncture resistance.

Available in white, tan or gray and in thicknesses of 45- or 60-mil, UltraPly TPO XR provides excellent weatherability and strong resistance to UV rays and common rooftop chemicals. Ideally, a low VOC adhesive would be used to fully-adhered fleeceback UltraPly TPO XR roofing systems. The XR Stick Adhesive is a 2-part polyurethane adhesive can be used over many existing substrates, adhereing UltraPly TPO XR for both new and reroof applications.

UltraPly TPO SA
UltraPly TPO SA membrane is an easy to install, self-adhered, reflective white membrane that dramatically reduces labor costs. Available in 45- and 60-mil thickness, it meets industry regulations, improves worksite air quality and eliminates odor.

UltraPly TPO SA membrane combines the flexibility of Firestone’s proven TPO membrane with a factory applied, pressure sensitive, hot melt adhesive. This eliminates field application of bonding adhesives and enhances adhesion to approved substrates, resulting in a lay-flat application. An ideal flashing application for parapet walls and vertical surfaces, the membrane also features strong, reliable, heat welded seams and conforms better to insulation joints and step offs.

Available in 6.25-foot and 10-foot wide rolls, UltraPly TPO SA membrane is easier and faster to install than fully adhered systems, dramatically reducing installation and labor costs and allowing for safer installation with fewer crew members. Its poly release liner and packaging are designed to protect the rolls during handling and are easy to remove prior to installation.

Firestone UltraPly TPO SA products offer a variety of options to cover almost every job, including small and large projects and specialty work. With FM 1-90 and UL Class A ratings, the membrane meets the requirements of ASTM 6878 Standards. It has an initial solar reflectance of 0.74 and initial thermal emittance of 0.84 when tested in accordance with the Cool Roof Rating Council. UltraPly TPO SA membrane can earn points toward LEED certification and Energy Star qualification, and is eligible for a Firestone Red Shield® 20-year Warranty

UltraPly TPO Invisiweld
Firestone UltraPly TPO InvisiWeld System is a high-performance, non-penetrating TPO membrane fastening system. The mechanically attached system provides high wind uplift ratings. Installation is simplified, reducing labor and material costs.

This VOC-free system features TPO-coated Firestone UltraPly TPO InvisiWeld Plates attached to the UltraPly TPO membrane using an induction welding tool. The InvisiWeld System meets or exceeds Factory Mutual (FM) approvals and requirements.

The roofing season can be extended since the InvisiWeld System functions well in many climates, including extremely cold environments where adhesives and asphalt are difficult to use. Eliminating insulation seam plates and fasteners reduces installation time and labor costs. Membrane waste is less because a 6" in-seam lap is no longer needed. This system requires less material for perimeters and corners than other attachment methods.

UNA-Edge Metal Edge System

The UNA-Edge Metal Edge System includes three edge securement products: Coping System, GravelStop System and DripEdge System – all of which meet the International Building Code (IBC) compliance for edge-metal flashings.

The system includes simple and straightforward architectural sheet metal detailing, with no spring clips, extruded components, or crimped edges, for ease of installation and labor cost savings.

Also, the UNA-Edge System is compliant with the ANSI/SPRI ES-1 standard (Wind Design Standard for Edge Systems Used with Low Slope Roofing Systems), FM 4435 tested and is eligible for Red Shield Warranty coverage up to 20 years.

Shipped as a full system with cleats, splices and fasteners included, the system is available in aluminum or galvanized (G-90) steel and in more than 30 standard colors.

Firestone UNA-CLAD UC-3 Roofing Panel is a factory formed double-lock, architectural standing seam metal roof panel that provides a traditional look and utilizes mechanical seaming to enhance design needs. With its proven high wind performance capabilities, UC-3 Roofing Panel can be curved and tapered and accommodate complex architectural geometry.

Firestone UNA-CLAD UC-4 Roofing Panel is a patented self-locking, architectural standing seam metal roof panel that completely eliminates the need for clips. UC-4 Roofing Panel's unique integral fastening flange accommodates thermal movement, and its easy snap-together seam saves installation time and money. Firestone UNA-CLAD UC-6 Double-Lock Standing Seam Roofing Panel utilizes the proven seaming process of Pittsburgh Locking in conjunction with the floating action of a concealed clip assembly. This design allows for expansion and contraction caused by natural elements to provide a virtually leak proof roof with exceptional uplift ratings. The Firestone UNA-CLAD UC-14 Roofing Panel is a factory formed architectural standing seam metal roof panel with a proven 1 3/4" tall continuous interlocking seam that snaps together for ease of installation. Firestone offers a line of non-warranted UNA-CLAD UC roofing panel profiles for architectural and specific structural applications.

Firestone UNA-CLAD UC-1 Snap-On Cover Standing Seam Panel offers a distinctly different look to enhance architectural design with its 1 3/4” high standing seam. This system uses a concealed clip fastening system which provides excellent movement capabilities while meeting current wind-load regulations for metal roofing systems.

Firestone UNA-CLAD UC-2 Snap-On Batten Seam Roofing Panel provides the same 1 3/4” height and performance as the UC-1 but this system presents a bolder look with a 1 1/2” or 2” wide batten cover.

Firestone UNA-CLAD UC-7 Snap-On Standing Seam Roofing Panel provides a 1” profile which offers the designer the ability to specify and create high-profile features. These panels come in rolls, have high radius capabilities and can be curved for radius applications.

CLAD-GARD Metal Underlayments
Firestone CLAD-GARD underlayments provide an ideal moisture barrier between the roof deck and the adjacent metal system. Providing a skid-resistant surface, nail resealability, high temperature resistance, corrosion protection, weatherproofing during installation and more, CLAD-GARD is a smart way to protect your metal roofing investment. Easy to install, CLAD-GARD offers the confidence, convenience, performance and reliability of the high-quality products Firestone consistently delivers.

CLAD-GARD SA is a self-adhered premium metal roofing underlayment with a non-reinforced, rubberized asphalt waterproofing membrane for excellent flexibility, superior adhesion and outstanding traction. The membrane is water and fire resistant and can withstand temperatures up to 250° F. CLAD-GARD SA can be applied directly to Firestone ISO 95+ GL, Firestone ISOGARD HD, Firestone Resista Polyiso, Firestone HailGard Composite, OSB and plywood substrates. It is included in the Firestone Red Shield Warranty and is eligible for a 25-year Medallion Warranty.

CLAD-GARD MA is a mechanically attached synthetic roofing underlayment ideal for use in slopes steeper than 5:12. The membrane requires fewer nails than conventional felt underlayments and is stronger and lighter than 30# felt. This 100% recyclable membrane contains no organic material, which can help prevent mold growth, is water and fire resistant and can withstand temperatures up to 230° F. CLAD-GARD MA can be applied directly to Firestone HailGard composite, OSB and plywood substrates. It is eligible for up to a 20-year Firestone Red Shield Warranty.

CLAD-GARD R is an economical choice in Firestone’s self adhered underlayment offering. Featuring a highly textured, slip resistant surface, CLAD-GARD R provides traction for greater walkability during installation and maintenance. Available in an unboxed, two-square roll, this underlayment has a split-release backer for easy installation and can be directly applied to Firestone HailGard Composiite, OSB and plywood substrates. Since CLAD-GARD R is waterproof, it can be exposed for up to two months during construction without the need for tarping. It is eligible for up to a 20-year Firestone Red Shield Warranty.

Firestone SBS Modified Bitumen Roofing Systems combine exceptional elongation and fatigue resistance properties with the strength of a glass-reinforced polyester mat. Available in white, black and other granule surface colors, Firestone SBS membranes may be installed by heat welding, hot asphalt, cold-applied adhesive or mechanical attachment.


Firestone APP
Firestone APP Modified Bitumen Roofing Systems are available in a variety of thicknesses in smooth and granule surfaces. Reinforced with a tough, non-woven polyester mat, Firestone APP membranes deliver superior rooftop performance for both new and reroof applications. Firestone APP membranes may be installed by heat welding or with cold-applied adhesives.


Firestone BUR
Firestone offers Ply IV (4) M and Ply VI (6) M asphalt impregnated, glass fiber mat reinforced roofing felts that can installed in multiple layers with a flood coat and aggregate or used in combination with Modified Bitumen.

The Ply IV (4) M and Ply VI (6) M felts provide superior durability and ease of application to construct Firestone Built-Up Roofing (BUR) Systems.


Firestone Self-Adhered Base
The two-ply Firestone Self-Adhered Base System combines Firestone MB Base SA with either an APP or SBS cap sheet torch-applied directly over the base sheet. The system’s specification flexibility allows specifiers to select the cap sheet best suited to job conditions and local installation practices.

During torch application of the cap sheet, the fiberglass-reinforced base sheet serves as an effective work platform and thermal barrier for torch application. The base sheet also achieves complete fusion, assuring that the MB Base SA System works as a redundant monolithic waterproofing layer beneath the cap sheet.

LiquiGard Adhesive
LiquiGard Adhesive is an economical, odorless and VOC-free adhesive for modified bitumen roofing systems. The 2-part urethane adhesive forms extremely strong bonds between roofing membranes and substrates, creating a watertight seal and superior resistance to high winds. LiquiGard is ideal for schools, hospitals and other applications where using asphalt, heat welding with torches or odorous solvents is not acceptable. This proven adhesive is a durable, easy-to-install option for roofing professionals. Available in 5-gallon pails, LiquiGard Adhesive is acceptable for up to a 25-year Firestone Red Shield Warranty.

UltraFlash Liquid Flashing
UltraFlash Liquid Flashing is a fast-curing, low-VOC coating that forms a flexible elastomeric layer around vents, pipes, wires and other difficult roof details for SBS and BUR roofing systems. This watertight chemical bond is abrasion and chemical resistant. It is approved as a root and moisture barrier as well as for potable water applications. UltraFlash may be painted with a Firestone coating and can accept granules to match roof surfaces. UltraFlash Liquid Flashing can be used in conjunction with LiquidGard Membrane Adhesive, and is available in several convenient sizes including dual 850 ml cartridges, 1-gallon cans and 5-gallon pails.

Multi-Purpose MB Cold Adhesive

Firestone UltraFlash Liquid Flashing is a 2-part urethane liquid rubber flashing and coating that can be easily applied to the most difficult of rooftop details, creating a durable watertight seal. UltraFlash meets the challenges of creating a watertight seal and is suitable for use with both SBS and BUR systems.

Proven Reliability

Firestone UltraFlash Liquid Flashing is a fast-curing, low-VOC coating that forms a flexible elastomeric layer around vents, pipes, wires and other difficult roof details. It adheres well to many substrates such as metal, concrete and wood, making it ideal for difficult SBS and BUR repair applications.

UltraFlash utilizes a specific formulation of elastomeric polymers that has been used in exterior applications for more than 30 years on thousands of rooftop applications. UltraFlash is acceptable as part of a Firestone Red Shield Warranty.

Ultra White
Firestone introduces modified bitumen cap sheets made with UltraWhite roofing granules, a cool roofing solution that are ideal for new and reroof applications. Unlike traditional granule-surfaced modified bitumen cap sheets that require additional liquid coatings or surfacing either during manufacturing or after installation, Firestone UltraWhite granules are the only reflective materials applied during the manufacturing process. The resulting cap sheet provides greater light reflectivity and heat emissivity, reducing energy consumption, electrical demand and labor costs.

Available in SBS and APP modified bitumen cap sheets utilizing Firestone’s innovative UltraWhite granules, the modified bitumen cap sheets can be applied with hot asphalt, heat welding or cold adhesive and are compatible with steel, concrete, plywood and wood decks, providing greater versatility and appeal for both new and reroof applications. They are resistant to foot traffic and hail and demonstrate excellent granule retention. Since Firestone cap sheets do not require factory or field-applied liquid coatings, the application is cleaner and will not crack or peel.

UltraWhite Modified Bitumen Cap Sheets are UL- and FM-code approved and meet requirements for California’s Title 24 regulations and can help achieve points in the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED rating system. Its reflectivity is also consistent with Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) programs.

Firestone UltraWhite Modified Bitumen products may be included in a 20-year Firestone Red Shield Warranty. When installed using Firestone insulation and a cover board, UltraWhite cap sheets are eligible for a 25-year Firestone Red Shield Warranty.

When a substrate slope will not permit efficient drainage, Firestone Tapered ISO 95+ polyiso insulation provides an effective and economical solution. Properly installed Tapered ISO 95+ polyiso insulation can extend the life of the roof assembly by eliminating problems associated with ponded water. Firestone Tapered ISO 95+ polyiso insulation is available in slopes from 1/16” to 1/2” per foot. Firestone provides a variety of technical support services for the installation of tapered insulation through the Firestone Tapered Engineering Design Department.

The Firestone Tapered Network uses the latest technology to offer architects, consultants, general contractors, distributors and roofing contractors a complete, accurate, and timely engineered tapered insulation system for any project.

Based in strategic locations throughout the U.S., Firestone’s fully trained and experienced designers have access to the most advanced software and hardware, including Taper Plus and AutoCAD. The team efficiently creates CAD-generated installation shop drawings ranging from basic tapered layouts to complex projects requiring quick turnaround time. Firestone is committed to providing accurate and timely tapered take-offs that encompass all critical elements affecting proper drainage.

Additionally, Firestone offers architects and consultants a tapered design assist service. Through this service, Firestone creates a professional and effective tapered system design for any project prior to bid. Based on a copy of the roof plan (AutoCAD format is preferred) and all relevant factors, our design team will create an AutoCAD drawing detailing the optimum tapered layout, which may then be transferred directly to the bid documents. Resista Polyiso Insulation
Manufactured with a heavy-duty, double-coated, non-organic glass facer, Firestone Resista Polyiso Insulation Board is compatible with all fully adhered and mechanically attached single-ply, cold-applied, and self-adhered modified bitumen membranes.

Resista Polyiso is an economical choice offering exceptional protection against fire, wind and mold. With thicknesses varying from 1-4 inches, Resista Polyiso uses Firestone’s proprietary IsoGard foam technology to create an impressive insulating value per inch which can translate into significant energy savings. While other manufacturers may require up to 3.1” insulation over combustible decks, Resista Polyiso is the only 1” insulation board with a UL Class A rating for fire resistance. The double coating of non-organic facing material on both sides of the insulation board also meets ASTM D3273 standards for mold resistance.

In addition to fire, wind and environmental protection, Resista Polyiso is easy to cut and handle which can lead to reduced installation times and labor costs. This environmentally sustainable product also contains recycled content and can contribute to overall LEED certification for energy optimization and material resource credits.


Composites
Firestone thermally efficient Wood Fiberboard and Perlite Composite Boards feature a factory-controlled laminated overlay board for modified bitumen, BUR and single-ply applications.

With its nailable oriented strand board (OSB) surface and thermally efficient polyiso insulation, Firestone HailGard composite insulation is suitable for use with single-ply or asphalt membranes, metal roofing and shingles. HailGard insulation may be used as a component of Firestone Platinum to achieve a Platinum-PHW Warranty, protecting against accidental puncture, hail up to two inches in diameter and 100 mph winds.


Cover Boards

ISOGARD HD
ISOGARD HD contains a closed-cell polyiso core that utilizes IsoGard foam technology, and can provide greater UL fire ratings. ISOGARD HD provides the highest thermal performance of any 1/2” insulation cover board product on the market, and it is resistant to extreme weather conditions. Lightweight and easy to cut and install with more boards per pallet, this high density cover board offers savings from reduced transportation costs, labor and material during application.

DensDeck and DensDeck Prime
DensDeck and DensDeck Prime are non-structural, glass mat-faced roof boards that feature a non-combustible, water-resistant and silicone-treated gypsum core panel. DensDeck boards are an excellent substrate in most reroof applications and may be used with mechanically fastened or fully adhered RubberGard EPDM or UltraPly TPO roofing systems and are compatible with Modified Bitumen and BUR systems in certain assemblies. DensDeck and DensDeck Prime products are available from Firestone in 1/4”, 1/2” and 5/8” thicknesses. DensDeck is a registered trademark of Georgia-Pacific.

FiberTop
FiberTop is suitable for use on almost any type of reroofing project and is a durable wood fiber insulation that serves as a recover board and provides insulating value in roof assemblies. Firestone FiberTop boards may be used under ballasted, fully adhered or mechanically attached single-ply roofing systems. They are also a suitable substrate for base sheets and Modified Bitumen roofing systems. FiberTop boards are available in 1/2" and 1" thicknesses.
